The Bike is Back!

After 10 years in the shop, my 1954 BMW R51/3 motorcycle is finally home and ready to ride!

In May of 2022, we showed the bike at the Quail Motorcycle gathering in Monterey, CA. Lots of folks came by to take a look, ask about the build, and take photos. As a matter of fact, the Summer 2002 issue of "Classic BMW Motorräder" magazine that is put out by the Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners Club has 2 photos of the bike in their Quail Gathering article. However, it had to return to Scottie's shop for some additional work due to a slipping clutch issue that appeared on the first set of test rides just before the show.
